The Outcome-Based Assessment (OBA) is a competency pathway for internationally qualified nurses seeking AHPRA registration in Australia. Implemented by NMBA, it replaces the bridging program and ensures nurses meet Australian standards. The OBA has two stages: NCLEX-RN (computer-based exam) for theoretical knowledge and OSCE (Objective Structured Clinical Examination) for clinical skills assessment.
